Patience wasn't one of Hellboy's strong suits and though he'd never really admit it, neither was solitude. He'd already befriended a couple of stray cats but he didn't have electricity (which meant no TV) and he was fairly stuck inside during the day unless he wanted to chance having Myers bitch at him. It wasn't so much Myers bitching that kept him inside though. He knew if he attracted too much attention they'd just send people to get him. While they couldn't make him do much of anything, they could make his life difficult. In any case, the sum of the situation was that just after midnight the night after he'd met Jill, he was standing on the sidewalk across from the Hyperion hotel. It hadn't been hard to figure out or at least approximate which room she was staying in. She gave him tingles that were different from the feeling he got from the vampire. He waited across the sidewalk, shifting from foot to foot for a while (which is to say about five minutes. See the patience comment) then crossed the street. He could be relatively quiet when he wanted to be so the leap he took to the third story window was fairly silent. He caught the window ledge with his right hand, dangling there for a moment before he tapped on the window with his left hand.

She was wearing a pair of white pajama pants with tiny bats on them and a black cami with a white, glittery star on it when she went to the window. She smiled when she saw him. The visit was unexpected but a good surprise too. She pointed to the right and mouthed. 'next window' to him before jogging barefoot out to the hallway and into the next room.
Once there, she shut the door and unlocked and opened the large window, waiting for Hellboy to come over.

"Hey, you said to stop by sometime if I wanted so. Slow night, I decided to drop in. Did I wake you up?" He didn't have the cigar in his mouth, yet.

And then her eyes went wide and she looked to hellboy. "Not that I... you know. It's just a room for not sleeping... in the sleeping asleep sense."

He's scratching the back of his head and looking everywhere but her eyes when she mentioned the room's name. After her stammering is done he nods. "Nah, I get it. Like I said, slow night. I was in the area. I wanted to see you..." And then it's his turn to be slightly embarrassed, stammer and cover up. "I mean-y'know, thought I'd stop by and say hey."
He fumbles in his pocket and gets out a cigar but doesn't light it, just sticks the stub of it in his mouth. He doesn't have a lot of social graces but he knows a lot of humans don't smoke in their own homes. He never got why but it's true regardless.

Because you know she was there with him and there are very few straight from Hell demons walking around.

"Darlin' I'll let the Bureau lock me up in a room this size and dictate, for the most part when I get out, but that's because they feed me six times a day, take care of my cats and Father was there. And note the use of the word let. I got out pretty much when I wanted to and they couldn't stop me."
He took the cigar out of his mouth and twisted it between his fingers a moment.
"I'm not invulnerable but I'm pretty fuckin' hard to kill. I've been run over by a train, set on fire more times than I can count and had a building fall on top of me. I ain't goin' nowhere and nobody's gonna make me."
He put the cigar back in his mouth and quirked an eyebrow at her "It was 'cause of the horns, wasn't it?"

"Dunno, 'bout a foot a month if I don't sand 'em off every day. I got a power sander I use on 'em every day instead of shavin'," he joked as he ran his left hand along the beard he had.

He leaned back on the couch, his right elbow resting on the armrest. "See, lots of things more borin' and none of them nearly as pretty as you."

"I was alone. Father died, there was the whole thing with Liz and Myers. I didn't want to look at him everyday and so I split. I've been gone for 'bout three months. Traveling in a boxcar mostly. Stoppin' where I felt like it and movin' on 'bout the same time." He glanced over at Jill.
"I look big and mean but I don't do so well alone, 'specially that kind of alone."

He tilted his head and looked at Jill a moment. "What about slayers? I've heard they're pretty tough."

"Luckily the powers that be gave us reflexes like crazy, high speeds and a hell of a punch. Slayers die all the time though."
She pulled her lower lip through her teeth. "That's why we were moved here. Something big and bad is after all of us and wants us all dead. They bombed a castle in Scotland and killed hundreds of Slayers. So we've all been split up into smaller groups so they casn't get so many at once."
