Yeah, it's really a date [RP for sonata_adagio]

Hellboy was nervous. In fact, he wasn't sure the last time he'd been this nervous. He had a date. He had a date with a gorgeous blonde and it scared the crap out of him. He couldn't figure out one single reason why she'd be going on a date with him. He was wearing a pair of black leather pants, a black tee shirt and his black boots. He had his father's rosary looped through one of the belt loops on his pants and even though he felt naked without it, he'd left his gun behind. He also had his long brown coat on. Mostly because it made him feel like he had something to hide in in public. He had a half smoked Cuban cigar clamped between his teeth and he was currently pacing a little in front of Jill's door. He had a small bouquet of red roses in his right hand because he'd gone to Angel and they'd talked briefly (ie grunted and grumbled then muttered some). Basically, Hellboy had gotten out of the conversation that girls liked flowers. So he had flowers. He finally took a deep breath and knocked lightly on her door then waited for her to open it.

"Yeah?" he asked, sort of surprised. "I mean...yeah. The kiss was good and there were flowers so you're welcome."

"Sorry I missed the flowers." Jill apologized.

Hellboy shrugged. "S'okay with me. Don't gotta apologize for it. I wasn't even sure if I was s'posed to bring flowers or not. Talked to Angel and he mentioned somethin' about 'em so...you got flowers."

He puffed on the cigar and blew the smoke out. "Told you m'bad at this."

Jill pulled her cell phone from the small handbag she was carrying and dialed Lucy. She requested that she pick up the flowers and put them in water and informed her friend that the condom had not been used yet. Then she hung up and looked sideways to Hellboy. "There. I like flowers."

Okay so she made him grin when she called Lucy and told her to put the flowers in water. She also piqued his curiosity when she mentioned unused condoms. He chuckled when she hung up the phone.

"I'll remember that."
